The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) believes that any Veteran who is at risk of homelessness or who is trying to exit homelessness should have easy access to programs and services. The Community Resource and Referral Center (CRRC) can provide veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness with one-stop access to community-based multiagency services to promote permanent housing, health and mental health care, career development and access to VA and non-VA benefits.

The Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) Program provides supportive services to very low-income Veteran families currently in or transitioning to permanent housing. SSVF is designed to rapidly re-house Veteran families and prevent homelessness for those at imminent risk due to a housing crisis.

The West Virginia Coalition to End Homelessness is committed to ending homelessness in West Virginia. Veterans Life Way Center
Veterans Life Way Centeris a Transitional male-only living facility for Veterans of the United States Armed Forces. This twelve-bed facility acts as a temporary housing arrangement while providing wrap-around services to those who bravely served our nation throughout their life.
Prestera
Prestera's homeless services programs implement street outreach initiatives to engage individuals that are unhoused. Guided by the Housing First approach, which recognizes housing as a foundational need devoid of additional conditions or requirements, our programs extend support to individuals in navigating the HUD housing application process. This includes facilitating the gathering of essential documents required for housing applications and addressing any additional barriers impeding the attainment of permanent housing.
Habitat for Humanity - Veterans Housing Initiative
The Habitat for Humanity of the Tri-State (HFHTS) Veterans Housing Initiative is a specialized housing program for Veterans who do not have means to purchase a home of their own. HFHTS will serve single Veterans and couples who have one or both being a Veteran and NO children, including their own child/children, grandchild/children, foster child/children, or a child/children who the couple has been awarded either temporary or permanent custody to by a court of law, (Veterans with children or guardianship of a child is welcome to apply for our traditional building program).
Habitat for Humanity's Repair Corps Program
The Habitat for Humanity's Repair Corps Program is open to all military Veterans, provided they have received an honorable discharge, and is not restricted to any specific veteran groups. While the primary focus of the program is on critical home repairs for Veterans, the foundation has expressed readiness to fund standard repairs on the homes of qualified veterans provided homes with critical needs take precedence.
